Robert Vaughan (c. 1600–c. 1663) was an engraver of Welsh origin who was active in London from the 1620s. Although not the most skilled of his craft he was prolific, making numerous portrait prints, title-pages and maps. His earliest and most interesting plates, created when he worked for Compton Holland, include the series The Portraictures at Large of Nine Modern Worthies of the World, of 1622 and The XII Monthes of the Yeare in the Habits of Severall Nations, from the early 1620s. Vaughan also engraved monumental brasses, which may help to explain his broad and crude style with the burin.
