Leda and the Swan

Etching, first half of the 17th century, signed on the plate lower left "F. T."

A magnificent work, printed on contemporary laid paper without watermark, with very thin margins, in excellent condition.

The only example of this work we have found in institutional collections is held in the Kupferstich-Kabinett of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen in Dresden [A 1909-419]. It is attributed to this unknown Monogrammist FT.
