It is a collection that forms a history of the architecture of different peoples in all periods published by Jules Gailhabaud with the collaboration of leading archaeologists of the time. 

The view of San Giorgio al Velabro comes from a painting by Lenoir, Albert (1801-1891), and is engraved by Jean-Baptiste-Marie Bury in collaboration with Schoreder.
