View of two mountain peaks between two other mountains; settlements are dispersed across the midground at the foot of each mountain; the large Crevola bridge over a stream is in the midground.

Aquatint printed in brown, lettered below image: "Peint d'apres Nature par G. Rahn." and "Gravé par François Hegi."

Franz Hegi (1774-1850) was a Swiss draughtsman, engraver and etcher, specialised in large picturesque landscapes, Swiss architecture and costume studies in aquatint, produced mostly between 1809 and the early 1820s. Born Lausanne, died in Zurich.
