Plate taken from L'Art. revue hebdomadaire illustrée, an illustrated weekly published for the first time in Paris on January 3, 1875, under the direction of Eugène Véron, in association with Librairie de l'Art, located at 3 rue de la Chaussée d'Antin (an establishment run by Hippolyte Heymann, who was appointed editor of the periodical).

Gustave-Marie GREUX (Parigi, Francia, 27 luglio 1838 - maggio 1919)

Painter and etcher, pupil of Glayre. This artist sent a painting to the Saloon in 1859, which afterwords took a medal at Besancon. Is first exhibithed etching was 1861, after Rousseau, called "Storks taking a siesta". Is "Screen of Saint-Etienne-du- Mont" received honorable mention in Paris and a medal at Wien. Greux as contirbuted to the "Gazette des beaux-arts" and for "L'Art".
