Piazza Contarena di Udine…

Two very rare lithographic views, taken from different angles, of Piazza della Libertà, in Udine, by Luigi Bertelli.

The two lithographs were probably part of the very rare Album pittorico del Friuli, composed of views of cities, towns and castles of the Friuli territory in the early nineteenth century, and printed from 1841 onwards with the innovative lithographic technique on Bavarian stone.

The first views of the series were printed in Udine, at the Luigi Berletti lithography, starting in 1841.

Lithographs on Bavarian stone, wide white margins, rare blooming, in very good condition.
