Noël LE MIRE (Rouen, 1724 - Parigi, 1800)

French designer and engraver. He was a pupil of J. B. Duchamps in Rouen, and of Le Bas in Paris. He produced several plates after famous artists as Carracci, Reni, Rolin, Teniers. His activity as illustrator was also flourishing: in fact he produced illustrations inspired by Boucher, Cochin, and others, among which stand out for the quality of the execution those that decorate the edition of Rousseau's works of 1774-1783.
